The Lane Runner prompt

Make a Lane Runner game: steer a desperate, growing survivor squad through a relentless neon-quarantined city, choosing deadly gates and weaving through zombie floods as every second pushes the endless run closer to collapse.

- **Core gameplay:** Build the squad by rescuing survivors and collecting recruits while automatically advancing down a multi-lane road. Swipe, steer, or switch lanes to position the group, then choose between gates that visibly add or subtract squad members, firepower, speed, health, or other clear run modifiers. Keep momentum, preserve enough survivors to break through, and never offer pay-to-win advantages or paywalls.
- **Combat and hazards:** Survivors attack nearby zombies as the squad passes; make horde encounters readable, energetic, and satisfying, with escalating enemy density and occasional tougher infected. Add brutal but fair traps—spiked barricades, crushing walls, burning lanes, explosive barrels, collapsing bridges, and moving hazards—that reward quick lane changes and route planning.
- **Run structure and replayability:** Create an endless procedural-feeling sequence of varied city districts, gate combinations, zombie formations, trap patterns, rescue moments, and escalating speed. Use a clear distance score, survivor count, best-run record, and milestone progression. A run ends only when the squad is overwhelmed or destroyed, followed by an immediate results screen and a fast restart loop.
- **Controls and feedback:** Support intuitive lane switching, brief readable decision windows, and responsive input with keyboard, mouse, gamepad, and touch-friendly steering. Clearly telegraph gate effects, collisions, damage, squad growth, and danger so players can learn through play rather than menus.

Give the game a proper indie-game feel with a consistent original art style suited to a tense, stylish zombie road-runner, plus expressive animation, impactful particles, screen shake, and layered original sound effects and music. Include game-like title, pause, settings, and results UI; a short first-play controls tutorial; English UI and text; keyboard/mouse/gamepad desktop support; and landscape phone play. Use entirely original characters, art, music, and text with no licensed IP. Self-playtest the complete loop, fix broken controls, unfair collisions, soft locks, pacing issues, and UI problems, then provide a polished playable preview.
